In the newest Courier-Journal/WHAS 11 Bluegrass Poll Dr. Dan has an 18 point lead! This only affirms our internal poll taken in February.

Today in front of Jim Bunning's offices in Louisville and Lexington, we stood up to Jim Bunning, the Tea Party and the Republican right-wing to protest Jim Bunning's disgraceful blockage of an emergency extension of unemployment benefits for millions of Americans and almost 120,000 Kentuckians. Jim Bunning's action to block the emergency extension of unemployment benefits showed a callous disregard for those unemployed. By supporting Jim Bunning, Trey Grayson and Rand Paul were Bunning clones who put the interests of winning votes from the Republican right-wing ahead of unemployed across America.

I was proud to lead and organize the rallies on behalf of Kentucky workers today. In 2004, I came within 1% of beating Jim Bunning - in a year when George Bush won Kentucky by 20 points. I was a fighter then and I'm a fighter now.

Let's finish the job we started in 2004. Become a part of our campaign to take back Kentucky's Senate seat today by donating $10 and help elect a Kentucky Democrat who will stand up for Kentucky families.

"So, how's your new baby?" A simple softball question, it was pooh poohed by my husband (pun intended). Hearing my recitation of candidate questions as he drove to Paducah to meet Lt. Governor Dan Mongiardo, the futurist/policy wonk had better ideas of what was appropriate to ask. He made suggestions. I made some notes.

Today we celebrate the life of Martin Luther King, Jr. Dr. King was a courageous man who saw wrongs and fought to right them, saw injustice and dared to fight it. Although his life was ended tragically and far too soon, Dr. King taught us invaluable lessons about bravery and hope in times of adversity.
