The Second Lady of Kentucky, Allison Mongiardo is a native Kentuckian - born in Lexington and raised in Frankfort. Allison's large, extended family comes from Salyersville. Concerned about improving children's healthcare, Allison has joined Lt. Governor Mongiardo in fighting childhood obesity.
Committed to improving the quality of life for all Kentuckians, Allison has also been active in community service--volunteering for such groups as Meals on Wheels, Salvation Army, and the Special Olympics. And, Allison has been dedicated to her church community - she's taught vacation bible school and participated in a mission trip to Romania.
A graduate of the University of Kentucky, Allison has a B.A. in Communications. She is an outdoor enthusiast, who enjoys fishing, hunting, and golf. On December 22, Allison gave birth to Kathryn Allison, her and Daniel's first child.
